  Lovely! Excellent situation, only a short stroll along the river to the little village of Bright. Hosts very helpful and welcoming. Room well supplied, and very clean. Would definitely come again.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very modern and well presented, while maintaining a warm cosy feel. The spa and fireplace were the perfect touch, making this a place we will definitely visit again.

  Clean, beautiful decorated units in a quiet location. Just 5 min walk to Brite town centre. Easy access to river and bush walks. Well equipped for a night or a week. Highly recommended.

  There is little noise there except for the river and the birds. The cottages are clean and well maintained and very comfortable. My only very slight complaint is that the bedroom curtains could be block out but that is a very minor quibble. The cottages are typically one or two bedroom and the size of a smallish house with plenty of room for a couple or in the case of the two bed room cottages, a small family.

  The facilities are excellent with a smallish equipped kitchen, SPA, split system aircon, and wood heater in each unit. There is also a Weber and outdoor gazebo and picnic areas.

  Merrimeet is a group of cottages nestled into an idyllic setting along the Ovens river about 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes drive from the center of Bright. This is our fifth visit to Bright since we had our honeymoon there forty years ago and our second stay at Merrimeet.
