With a fantastic Cafe attached and easy access to the town centre, the Bright Velo Hotel was a delight to stay at for the weekend.

The location was very good - central to everything. The owner was friendly. A cafe is right there. For riders, there's a room to store your bikes. Plenty of regular bike parking also.

Bright Velo Hotel and Cafe is at heart a cycling hotel. Bike riders from all over come and go. But if you're not a cyclist, fear not. This place is as comfy as it gets with freshly made beds, clean rooms and cosy atmosphere.

If you're after somewhere to stay for a short while or a longer stay, I can definitely recommend here.

The bathroom had good water pressure and water temperatures with a very hot to very cold range, face towels, fresh towels and a wall mounted hair dryer.

Café staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast seemed expensive at first, but I'm glad I ordered anyway, as it was actually good value for money. Perfect poached eggs, spinach, and mushroom that filled me up and a delicious coffee. The staff are friendly and the venue is fun for all ages.

The apartment we stayed in had two separate bedrooms, and a living room, small but comfortable. Nothing fancy but clean and well supplied.

Very friendly staff. Cafe was full of character and bike memorabilia. The rooms were very plain and rather unusual. It was like being in an old asylum. Each bedroom door had a lock on it. I wouldn't say it was cosy but it did the job. It was clean other than small maintenance requirements. And there were limited blankets. Luckily it wasn't too cold, although there were electric blankets. Too bad if you dislike that burning heat feeling. The beds were rock hard and in need of a topper for any kind've comfort. I ended up sleeping in the kids room on a spare run in hard mattress that was only slightly more comfortable than the main bed. A shame really because the owner was lovely and you can tell he really tries. I would stay there again if it wasn't for the hard beds.

The room we stayed in was a two person room with antique furnishing.

I was worried about arriving after their office hours, but they reassured me by giving detailed instructions on how to access our room.

We were supplied with milk and tea/coffee supplies in the room with a kettle and a teapot, perfect for use on the shared balcony looking over to the main street of bright.

The bed was one of the softest beds I have slept in. If you like having firmer mattresses this could be an issue, but if you love a really soft bed, you will love these ones.
